Opened in May 2012, Marina Bay Cruise Centre, with 28,000 square metres of facility area, can handle about 68,000 passengers at any one time. The Singapore cruise terminal was designed not only to be architecturally attractive but also to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for passengers. The combined cruise facility of Singapore Cruise Centre and Marina Bay Cruise Centre significantly increase Singapore’s cruise passenger handling capacity. Marina Bay Cruise Centre is located at Marina South with deep waters, a large turning basin and no height restrictions, it can handle the largest cruise ships being built now.
The first level of the cruise terminal is for arrival and the 2nd level is for departure. Passengers arriving by taxi, minivan or minibus should be dropped off with their luggage at the second level. Porters will assist boarding cruise passengers with their luggage to check-in.
Convenient store, money changers, cruise visitor centre and GST refund counter are located on the second floor.
Facing the entrance of the cruise terminal on the first level is a bus-coach parking area, where all cruise passengers board buses on arrival or alight when taking cruise.
The disembarkation may take more than 2 hours after cruise arrival, if you are scheduled the last few batches of cruise passengers to disembark on big cruise ship.
When cruise arrives, the terminal can be very crowded. If you have arrangement with travel agents to go on shore excursion, airport transfer or luggage delivery service, please specify clearly when and where to meet them. This problem can be compounded if more than 1 cruise arrive on the same morning. Taxi queue can be rather long so you are advised to make ground travel arrangement early prior to your cruise arrival.
