Why join packaged tour and regret

You go on a holiday in a country you are not familiar. You buy a packaged tour (full day or half-day) because you thought it is hassle-free and you can visit many places of attraction with the limited time you have. You happily join the tour along with many other strangers. Your visit to the place of attraction is shortened by the coach driver to make up for time lost in the previous stop, resulting from waiting for the inconsiderate tourist who overspend time allocated to the previous place of attraction. All is covered in a hurry. More often than not, not all the places of attraction were interesting to you but it is all part of the tour program. The tour starts at a certain time and you adjust your schedule to accommodate it. Isn’t a holiday suppose to be care-free, hassle-free and stress-free. If so, why waste money to buy a packaged tour and regret later?
